Barefoot Ted Born to Run

Play

A Barefoot runner is seen to be an oddity amongst a sea of motion controlled expensive footwear. The reality is that we were born to run and to run without the technology to stop us from “injuring” ourselves. The need for shoes in a work place environment has obviously to be taken into consideration, but the need to strap our feet into the latest footwear from the Nike sweatshop factory to be able to go out for a run is very far from the truth.

I have used an interview with a pioneer of the barefoot lifestyle Barefoot ted from the

Advendure Edge Radio Podcast

as he talks about the book BORN TO RUN by Christopher McDougall.  It is a good read and sets out to show how we evolved to be efficient long distance runners.

Grant is a Raw Food Endurance Athlete who I know from the popular forum for  Raw Food

This is the second interview that I have done, and I recorded this ages ago, I do not know if I would be described as a masochist, or just plain stubborn, but there seems to be a lot of beating your head against a brick wall, getting to grips with the tools to deliver a podcast.

Grant runs retreats were you can indulge your passion of Raw foods and Good company

Treat yourself with a celebration of health and vitality at a time of year that most let their health slide.
Invite your family and friends to share the experience.
The retreat will be held at Myuna Bay, NSW from 3pm Thursday 9th December until 3pm Sunday 12th Dec, 2010.
Please bear with me while I get this podcasting thing sorted I am keen to explore a lot of things involved with a Rawfood athletic lifestyle.

Hey I always love to hear what you have to say about the

Pose method of running

Play

I spoke with Peter Korsos about how he used the Pose running method to help his daughter walk and eventually run.

I thought it was a fitting topic to start off this podcast as it fits in with the message I like to carry, and that is one of what ever is your problem, you do not give up on working toward a solution.

Learning to look outside the box is a trait to be cultivated, the road less traveled can be a daunting journey but for those who travel it, great things can happen.

The audio is not pristine with Peters voice has a mic popping noise but I hope you can listen to the great story and wonderful dedication to getting a solution that is behind the interview.
