As I have limited experience of cold weather barefoot running
I got a bit of the cold weather running info from a Blogger

CIVD stands for “Cold-Induced Vasodilation”, and it describes what the body does when your extremities get cold.
What happens is that, when exposed to cold, the body restricts blood flow to your extremities.
However, if your body core temperature is maintained (that is, you are otherwise dressed warmly), your body, after a bit of
time, will send extra blood to those extremities to warm them back up.
It takes about 8-10 minutes for this warming to happen. The body then cycles this cooling/warming. After a while in the warm state, it will restrict the vessels again and your extremities will get cold again.
This cycle can happen a few times before a steady-state is arrived at.
This response can be conditioned. some people do respond better to conditioning that others. Practicing in the cold can speed up
the vasodilation response.
It is also the case that the body adapts. If, as winter approaches, you keep going barefoot, your feet will acclimate and will
get better and better at tolerating (and even relishing) colder temperatures.
Even wet conditions alone can be a bit of a challenge, because your feet absorb the water and get soft. When soft, they don’t
protect as well against much of anything.

I had been struggling to find a subject as the topic of the week as we have been away with our heads in business mode and out of the head space for content production.

This was a buzzword among the participants of the event we attended, being as it was focused on marketing products using online
direct marketing models.
So what has this got to do with raw food barefoot running or mindfulness.
So many times when we take a look at a business opportunity, or should I just take a step back and say, when you look at a
passion and play with the idea “is there a business opportunity in it”,

For us, we can wax on lyrical about the benefits of unprocessed food and the energetic intent of your mindfulness of actions
but does it pay the bills.
Marketing Your Passion
Indeed should it pay the bills, is there the need for a proactive stance against the side of our food chain that is depleting the ocean of its fish stocks, turning vast acres of land into arid wasteland through the overuse of chemical farming.
Causing unheard and censured cries from animal farming practices.
DO you honestly believe the mainstream news sources and consumer driven information channels.
Is everything rosy in the world of the western or even larger developing nations.
Is the motivation to put your head above the parapets to start saying “perhaps the emperor has no clothes” only to be based on a
By doing that are you relegated to the fear monger and consigned to the fringe element and dealt with, like the family relative
that is a bit embarrassing at the party because they don’t talk about the latest soap opera and are known to turn up with no shoes
and just eat from the fruit bowl.( just saying )
Are you willing to put up with the naysayers of conscious living, IE there has never been a society of raw, non animal product
eating peoples. You need to have B12, what about heme and nonheme iron, what about your omega 3 and 6 and so on and on.
Content production is the lifeblood of all advertising and marketing.
Each and every day we are marketed to, every ad that reminds you to get a vitamin pill or laxative, dwarfs the message of prevention before cure.
Every time we allow our minds to be made up by the marketing medium that has the $ return as its absolute for the baseline of
its effectiveness, we allow self justification of the ethics and outcomes that our lifestyles represent.
By marketing Your Passion of a more conscious message of lifestyle energetics, that calls for a more mindful and deliberate activation of
self, independant of the established way of thinking.
It delivers to you the ability to be more authentic in your decision making and see better outcomes in your life.
Is raw food the panacea to all ills… no of course not…..
Is the ability to run a marathon barefoot the hallmark of youngevity and fitness…..no of course not….
Is it a positive thing to cultivate the ability to take an objective view of the message you are being subjected to by your thoughts and the subconscious patterns that marketing sets up in you …of course it is
By choosing to engage in the commercial validation of an idea and having to risk failing on the harsh cobblestones of the
marketplace, whereby perhaps proving to others an inauthenticity of the message.
Is this better than having the belief in an ultimate truth in the message that you champion, yet standing by whilst entrenched farming, health and consumer practices flourish, making them by default, apparently the correct and authentic methods.
It is at the junction of individual awakening and shifts in human consciousness of the message of planet first, that the consumer
driven needs of convenience and separation then can become one of acceptance that things need to change and the pendulum swings.
